The Board of Management’s Story: Nurturing Excellence in Rice Export

Born and raised amidst the fertile fields of the Mekong Delta, our connection to rice runs deep. It’s not just a crop; it’s the lifeblood of our community. From our earliest days, we harbored a fervent desire to contribute to the prosperity of our hometown.

Driven by this passion, we set our sights on exporting rice overseas, knowing that it could uplift farmers and elevate our region from poverty. As the years passed, our commitment remained steadfast, even in the face of unprecedented challenges like the Covid-19 pandemic.

Despite the turmoil, our perseverance paid off. In the first months of this year, amidst global uncertainty, our rice exports surged by 10.9%, reaching a staggering $1.9 billion USD. This remarkable growth wasn’t just a stroke of luck; it was a testament to our unwavering dedication to excellence.

Over the past three decades, we’ve witnessed Vietnamese rice prices surpass those of our competitors, signaling our ascent to becoming a global rice exporting powerhouse. Our rice, including the esteemed ST 25 variety, has consistently ranked among the best in the world, showcasing Vietnam’s transition from quantity to quality-driven exports.

Looking ahead, we’re excited about the prospects of ST 26, the next frontier in rice excellence. With each innovation, we inch closer to our vision of Vietnamese rice setting world prices. By meticulously building our brand and implementing strategic export plans, we are poised to make this vision a reality.

As we reflect on our journey, we’re filled with pride for the strides we’ve made and optimism for the future. With the continued support of our dedicated team and the trust of our customers, we’re confident that Vietnamese rice will continue to shine on the global stage, shaping the future of the rice industry for generations to come.
